i felt so much better today so we ran some errands. we made a little pit stop at a new coffee shop and of course, i tried the tea.
name: Skyline Coffee Co.
location: Hagerstown, Md
chai rating: 5
specialty coffee rating: 5
- it's a cute little place and the owner is very nice, so stop by when you're in town.
after we got home, i decided to try my hand at making spaghetti and meatballs and called Meg over for an impromptu dinner. well, turns out the meat was pretty questionable and being a rookie cook, i decided to call my grandparents. after debating for 15 minutes about the ground beef, i just decided to chuck the whole meatball idea. so in the end, it was just spaghetti noodles, sauce from a bottle, and garlic bread from a box.
while cooking the noodles, i learned a new way to check if the noodles are ready. Meg & J swear that if you throw a noodle at a wall and it sticks, it's ready. i've never even heard of such a thing! to me, it's done when you stick it in your mouth and it's al dente! how weird? does anyone else do this? clue me in here...regardless of the method, in the end, our dinner turned out great.
i even made some some dessert. i learned how to make these a while ago and haven't made them in like three years.
it's pretty much made with crescent rolls, sugar/cinnamon mix, and butter. the glaze is made with milk and powdered sugar. easy right? yea, well, you can still mess it up, apparently i made mine too dry, or so J said.
today was a good day indeed. good friends stopped by and good food was made. it's gonna be a long work day tomorrow so i better get my rest. goodnight world.

YES! My neighbor in college tested noodles that way! By the end of the year he has spaghetti wallpaper! I've heard many people talk of using that method.
