High Rock is exactly that, it's a mountain summit that can be accessible by hiking the Appalachian trail or by road, and it was also used as a hang gliding lauch site back in the day, although it's prohibited now. the weather was perfect, but we didn't stay long because it was a little crowded. (sometimes when wind picks up, it gets scary up there cause you feel like you might blow off the cliff!!) i did sneak in a few pictures while we were there though...
apparently, tagging is "cool" there, so there were tons of stuff to read along the rock formations. there used to be a "High Rock" painting on the main rock (if you check out the link above you can see) and that's how i remembered it, so i was pretty surprised when i saw all of the grafitti on the rock. if you neglect to read some of the grafitti, you'll think it's actually kind of pretty (i get mad when i see the bad stuff...i mean really, why?) because of all of the bright colors used.
J thought that this one was pretty random and funny.
after scaling the lower parts of the cliff and goofing off, i saw some teenagers sitting on the main rock and snapped a photo. it just looks like a picture you might see on a modern day postcard...well, at least on a postcard i would want to send...i turned one into black and white (that was the main reason why i took the picture) and you can see it, as well as more pictures from our trip here, on flickr.
i'm glad the weather has been good to us now that summer is about to end. i think we might go to Hershey Park next Sunday with some friends, i hope the stays this pretty!
