the Bro Challenge

last week we went to see our friend and his team, G-Town BMX, race in town. it was pretty exciting seeing all of the races, and we actually got into it. my favorite moment was seeing the little ones race because the youngest was a three year old boy. he didn't win, but he definitely gave a good effort.

the G-Town BMX crew had a little challenge going on within the team and even handed out medals (how fitting since the Olympics was still on at the time). i had a really good time getting pictures of all of the racers. there wasn't exactly a fence around the track, so we sat pretty close to a turn and i got some really good shots of the face. here's some of what i captured during the day...

our friend, J. Kimmel carrying the flag during the opening parade.
i love the expression on the kid in the blue cheering the riders on.
one of the younger racers (he has a twin brother and i kept getting them mixed up during the race)...i asked him if he was going to win today and he said "i hope so"...he did, or was it his brother?the G-Town Crew

getting some air

this weekend was kind of quiet for us since we had my brothers over. i managed to get them out of the house and to the park for some fresh air, but we were only there for a little while. i think we bonded a little, so all in all, it was a nice labor day weekend. what did you do?
