new career?

today, i swapped my fabric scissors for hair...um...regular scissors. my friend Dan (who is visiting from Colorado) asked me to give him a hair cut, but all he had were clippers. i've never actually cut hair before (except when trimming J's hair), so i was really nervous...

(not one, but two pairs of scissors!)

(oh lordy! there was hair everywhere!)

(second victim, Mike...yes, that's duct tape on my finger, those scissors were sharp and we didn't have any band-aid...and look at that gnarly beard!)

well, i guess if being crafty doesn't work out, i could maybe take try to be a barber and go to beauty school.
