hey gang! top of the morning to ya! today, my photographs from the snowy weekend were featured in the local newspaper's online section. check in out.

ok, time to go back to sewing. i am planning on taking a break later in the afternoon to try out a new shortbread cookie recipe i saw on the post. i'm hoping to take them to an early family Christmas gather later today. why celebrate early you ask? that's because my cousin who is serving in Afghanistan is home, but he is leaving to go back on Christmas Eve. tonight we are having a family dinner and exchanging gifts with him. it's going to be fun and i am really looking forward to it!

in other news, tomorrow is Rock n' Shop at the Black Cat. i've been working really hard to get everything ready for it...now there's pretty much going to be a blizzard starting tonight. (oh snow, couldn't you wait til next weekend?!?). needless to say, i am a little worried about the road and whether or not we will be able to make it there/back (it ends at midnight!). if you're in the DC area tomorrow, keep me updated on the road conditions!! thanks!
