march madness

...no, not basketball, but the crazy month it has been. in this month alone, me, my younger brother, and my stepfather were born. today we all got together and went to the Olive Garden to have a nice little dinner.

she loved my brother's singing card so much, she took it for herself.

man! were we full, we had so much to eat! i can hardly wait to have my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. don't be jealous!

after dinner, we took my brothers to Target and shopped our little butts off. boy do i love target! got some cool finds and some things we really needed. i got some wildflower seeds and a small metal pot to grow them in. i'm planing on keeping the pot out on the back porch for some sunlight and fresh air so that it will have a chance.

starting small

lets hope it works cause my green thumb is more like a black thumb. i can't seem to grow or keep anything alive. for my last birthday, my friend Jessie got me a really cool gardening book called You Grow Girl and a year later, we're still at square one, no plants cause of dead plants. by the way, check out their web site, it's filled with some really neat things and info. i will stop being a nerd now...

...and back. anyway, while out buying a present for my little bro before dinner, i snagged myself a little something something (girls, you know how hard it is to shop for someone when everything you want keeps calling your name). i got the soundtrack from the movie Once (which i haven't seen yet, but i heard the song while watching an award show and really liked it) and a little cook book about cookies. there's probably a hundred cookie recipes, but i was thoroughly disappointed that they didn't include any regular oatmeal raisin cookie recipes. i have been in the mood for an oatmeal raisin cookie and have been dying to use the rest of the oatmeal from last week, so tomorrow i will search the interweb for a good and easy recipe to try. lets cross our fingers, shall we? i'll be keeping everyone updated on the cookie conundrum (was this appropriate?), so check back with me sometime tomorrow...until then, goodnight and sweet dreams.
