pretty soon it'll be spring...

it was such a pretty day outside, it was a shame we had a bunch of errands to run, and couldn't really enjoy it...

...for those of you who didn't know, i just recently moved in with my boyfriend and we are currently raising a Boston Terrier in a town better known as Hub City, Maryland. This blog spot will be chronicling my everyday adventures in cooking, crafting, photography and everything else in between. domesticating if you will...

anyway, J and i got to sleep in late this morning cause it's our day off, so i took the liberty of cooking some brunch for the two of us...well, Remy (our 7 month old Boston) got to eat some bread. i whipped up some French Toast and scrambled eggs. now here's the disclaimer, these were actually the first batch of "real" french toast, i followed instructions and everything, but added honey as my secret ingredient. anyway, as expected, they turned out pretty darn delish! J seemed to have really enjoyed them, but then again, he would have told me if they tasted terrible. he's pretty good about that.

i used this recipe:

1/2 cup of milk
2 large eggs
1 tbs of honey
1/8 tbs of cinnamon
4 tbs of sugar

i know it's pretty basic, but it makes really tasty french toast! i'm planning on making these for J's two nephews when they come over to visit during spring break. i'm sure they'll enjoy it cause it's sweet and it smells heavenly.

...after running all of our errands, we dropped by Target for a little shopping stop. we bought ourselves a big King size comforter for a full size bed. we always wake up in the middle of the night and argue about who has more of the blanket (usually it's Remy, although she's the smallest one!), so we've finally settled the score and purchased a nice Woolrich (no down!) comforter. it hangs off the bed and piles on the floor a bit, but never again will we wake up in the middle of the night bickering! thank goodness!

we also decided to drop by Kristen & Victor's place with some brownies. i love how we can all just sit down and have really nice conversations about anything! they are really good peeps.

it's getting rather late, you know how it is, you can never get enough rest.
