armed with a nice big cup of hot tea, it's time for me to park it on my side of the couch and report to duty...big things happened today...
enjoying the nice weather downtown, we stopped to have lunch at Bentley's New York Style Bagels. this was our very first time and we both ended up getting a chicken salad sandwich, J's on sourdough and mine on a sesame seed bagel and all i can say is YUMMY! i'm definitely going back again...soon.
i love being able to just walk around and discovering new places and trying new things. living in the city is not too shabby. i even went into a comic store for the first time! i know, i know, big whoop, right?anyway, we stopped at an art gallery on our way to Skyline and i adopted one of these little cuties.
this is a Keighty Crochet Eskimo.
how cute is this? i love the smiles on their faces and how well it was made. i also love all of the mediums she combined to put it all together. you could probably find more of her stuff on Etsy once it's up and running again. (i'll keep you updated on that)...i think i'm gonna start a collection of handmade plushes by purchasing or trading. (that means i'll have to be more productive!) so if you have something you want to trade, let me know and we'll work something out. (was this totally shameless?)
after purchasing the little Eskimo (i had to carry it around like little children do with their dollies) we walked over to Skyline. feeling risky, i tried two need things: a Goo ball and a strawberry smoothie.
Ashley said she came up with it while she was bored and used all the ingredients that were lying around...well, it seemed like it was very well thought out cause it was really good, so don't let the name fool you folks...although we would have loved to stay there for the rest of the evening, we had to get back on the road cause i had to go to work...boo...

holding out their signs and mouthing inaudible jingles, supporters of Obama were out at the square in She-town today.
i couldn't tell you if they were out today to promote Obama for the West Virginia primaries or not cause i don't even know when that is! maybe i should follow more closely. i don't know, i just feel so burned out from all the talk and the press. everywhere you go, you see something that has to do with the 08 election. i know this will be the "most important election in my lifetime," but i just don't think it's necessary to have started so early...i'm stopping here, not going to dive any deeper...sigh
well, Conan is about to end, you know what that means, it's my time to sign off for the night. i hope everyone enjoyed their day today. hopefully tomorrow will be as nice if not better. goodnight world.
