- J & i went to Asian Gardens in Martinsburg and stuffed our faces with all you can eat. yum!
- i got some books on sale: i got the Signing with Kids book so i can work on signing with C, the t-shirt transformation shirt so i can finally make use of some of the t-shirts i have, & the children's book cause i'm a sucker for colorful and offbeat illustrations! these will be a great addition to my growing children's book collection.
- i got a few yards of fabrics for some new projects (yay!)
- while flipping through one of the new books, i got inspired by Tease and made use out of an old t-shirt. i ended up making a tote bag i can take to the library with C!
take a t-shirt of your choice
cut out the sleeves and the neck (a deep U) for the handle of the bag, in this case i accidentally cut off a
part of the logo, which i wanted to keep, so i had to improvise later.

turning the shirt inside out, sew a straight stitch along the bottom
i had to improvise cause i felt the bag was a little boring, so sewed on this little owl (I loved this!)

here's the finished product!! how simple was that?
ps - using strips cut out from the sleeves, i wrapped it around the
handle for some extra reinforcement (not pictured)

- and i got a new hat from Tiffy Tuffington in the mail yesterday! i wore it all day today and i absolutely love it!
