i got to spend some time with my little sister Betty today after three months of separation. i missed that little booger! she's so much taller than i had remembered...they grow like weeds don't they?
we played a math game (she's a proud first grader!) and read a book, which apparently she hates (to my surprise). then we came over to my house, and we baked together! ladies and gents, i give you...
Betty's Boxed Brownie Surprise!
i was surprised at how good she was at cracking an egg!
stirring 50 times! haha, i tricked her into counting!
she's really good at smiling for the camera...haha
and here's the surprise, a piece of caramel chew (cut into fours). notice the brownie mix on her upper lip.

don't worry, although it looks as if i made her do all of the work, i actually helped. i wanted her to be as hands on as possible though, because i think she gets away with not being so at home (she tells my mom she can't help because she's only 6 years old...smarty pants!)...and i really thought it would be good for her, which it was, because she was really proud of it. it turned out really well...well, how can you mess up boxed brownie?
