we traveled back in time.

that's right peeps, we traveled back in time on sunday and went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, Md. it was our first time ever at the festival and i was pleasantly surprise at how cool it was. (i just sounded like a total nerd right there. yikes!) the festival is set in the woods! it's actually like a little town with shops (not tents), buildings, museums, stages, and a jousting field! there was even a costume rental place. i swear if we weren't on a tight budget you would have seen a picture of me in one!

we couldn't have picked a better day because the weather was perfect and it seem like we got there at a decent time (around 3:30). we met up with some friends, watched an A-1 drinking competition (my goofy friends), ate food on a stick, shopped, played games, listened to live music and watched knights compete in all sorts of competitions...especially JOUSTING! it was great! i mean, just take a look!

if you're around these parts and have time to go, you should definitely check it out. it's opened every weekend till October 19th i think. thy will have a merry time! right?
