it's a new year!

on Sunday, we took a little trip up to Silver Spring to the Thai Temple for the Annual Songkran Festival...aka...Thai New Year.

we only stayed long enough to get my favorite dish (this year there was only one vendor...and there was a long line to wait in!), some dessert, and yummy coconut juice. i was a little miss piggy and made sure to bring home some loot for the following days as well, but i had the last of it for lunch today and i'm starting to miss it. oh festival, why can't you be all year round?

oh! and what a small world! i even got to see my friend Chris of Chris Creatures (her shop is closed right now), who makes the cutest sushi plushies ever, there with her husband. crazy, crazy!
