when i first started blogging, i became a fan of Jessie Mae of Monkeys Go Home! she makes really fun toys that have crazy faces...how fitting since i am the unofficial queen of funny faces!

well, get this, i MET her! in Seattle of all places! we actually didn't know who each other was until the very last day when we exchanged cards. i mean, what a small world, right? Jessie was a part of Plush You as well and decided to travel up from Pasadena, Cali with her equally cool husband for her opening at the Anne Bonny, which we sadly missed (we got there too late!). the funny thing was, we had all been hanging out the night before. HOW CRAZY!

anyway, a while ago, she posted a giveaway that i was fortunate to win and here's my prize!

Giveaway Prezzies!!!!

i was so lucky to have won two giveaways as of late.

first, was a pomander from Frances in celebration of her 200th post. (if you recall, Frances won a pickle from my blogaversary giveway)


this thing smells so good!! now i just have to wait until it shrivels up. thanks Franny!

and second, a beard inspired by J's beard from the lovely Erin Dollar from I Made You a Beard!! whoO! i was so inspired i used it for my 365 today!

Foto Fun Friday

these little pretties are going to get packed and shipped off to their new owners. one's going to Georgia (a super, dooper, dooper late giveaway prezzie) and one's going all the way to the UK (for an ETSY trade!). ps - it's been a while since the last Foto Fun Friday, my apologies.

Sew n Place

somehow i had misplaced the buttonhole presser foot, so i had to order a new one. in the process we heard about a place called Sew n Place. it's a mom and pops sewing/fabric store filled with all sorts of fancy sewing machines, high quality quilting fabrics, and notions. they also clean/fix/check out your machines there.

got my lady sewing machine oiled and inspected.

i also fell in love with this beauty. they showed me how to work it and everything!!!

other than the presser foot, i also purchased some fabrics! i have been looking everywhere for wood grain printed fabrics and i finally found some!!

cute bunnies...i couldn't pass it up. Easter is coming after all.
i also got a buttons for a dime a dozen. seriously! these were my favorite.

i'm so glad we made this trip. i came home with some good stuff and now i can try to finish the bats! yay!
