taken around 5 p.m on Friday (the first night). it had started snowing at 10 a.m, but didn't actually stick till a couple of hours had passed.

taken around 7 p.m. Brian and i stopped at the Press Room to warm up for a couple of hours. when we came out, it had gotten dark, but the road didn't look too bad...probably because it had been plowed a couple of times before.

taken around 1 or 2 a.m. by this time, most cars were buried in the snow. no plows haven't been seen for a couple of hours and the snow on the road was getting deep.

taken around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday after the storm had stopped. cars were definitely buried and people were walking around the streets, getting rid of their cabin fevers.
i also got other shots around town. we walked to the monument just before the sunset was it was gorgeous there. that trek definitely paid off.

we trekked through lots of snow (thigh high) to go dig J's parents out of their house. luckily, they had a good friend who came over with a snow blower...we definitely would not have been able to do it all by ourselves.
now there's a good possibility that another storm is on it's way and ready to dump nearly another foot on us! goodness gracious!

These are so great, Panguin! I especially love the view of the river from the monument. That was one of my favorite landscapes when I was in school at Shepherd. I think I might need to make a print of that to hang in my house, in fact. I love the gentle pink of the sunset!
That sunset picture is soo nice! Ahem...where is the picture of your skillet shovel?
