wow! what a wonderful day this has been!!! it's been gorgeous and to top it off, i got two very special packages in the post this morning!

first is a necklace from Blugrn Designs that i won via the Fiercegrrl Fund auction!



i absolutely love it, but i think i'm going to save it as a gift for someone's birthday. i'm not telling who though. oh! and if you are interested in bidding for something, there's a great auction going on right now...FREE HAIR COLORING FOR A WHOLE YEAR!!!

and the second package which i will definitely keep is from my dear friend Meaghan. i REALLY love her jewelry and practically have one to wear for everyday of the week, so i couldn't help myself and ordered another hand stitched brooch from her!



well, shoot! time flies and i must get going! i have an impromptu photoshoot with a friend at this beautiful little spot i found while exploring this lovely town today. i'll be sure to remember to post some pictures up ASAP!

Crafty Bastards

Crafty Bastards yesterday was a blast! we stayed a little longer than expected, but it was all worth it. got to see some crafty friends and definitely purchased some really cool things (i'll show you that later) surprisingly, i took a lot less photos than last year, but i did manage to get a few good ones.

old stompin' ground

last Thursday, J took me on a tour of his hometown. first, we went to a really neat antique place called the Antique Association where there was a lot of unique things. some have been there (according to J) since he was little.

out back, we found an old dilapidated double decker bus
and a bench to sit on next to a little creek .

later on, we tried to go Letterboxing, but was fruitless, even though we tried several times and found the spot where it was supposed to be...so now it's 0-2.
then, he took me on a driving tour and took us to an old flour mill.

oh yea, to start the day, we went for ice cream at Nutter's! the best ice cream place ever!

another reason to love Shepherdstown

because i know you guys will be coming to Shepherdstown for the Street Fest next Saturday,
i thought i'd tell you a little about what you can find here...

yesterday i had the pleasure of meeting some really nice people, a husband and wife duo and the owners of a new jewelry store in town, Plum. cute name right? it doesn't stop there! inside, you'll find an array of wonderful indie jewelry, some hand crafted by Cari right in front of your eyes!

my berfday is coming up in a few days. J has managed to spoil me by giving me a gift every night until the actual day. (yay gifts!)

i got this cute necklace from the Sea Change last night.

and a pink Fuji Instax Mini the night before. i saw it while we were watching Yes Man (a pretty funny movie) and couldn't stop geeking out about it...so i guess he got it for me to shut me up... i've only taken three pictures with it so far. i'm waiting to take a ton down in DC tomorrow when we plan on visiting the Spy Museum (i'm crossing my fingers!!)

tonight i got a an arm band for my Zune and beautiful dress that i had fell in love with up in PA last week. J said he went to three places to get the right size! (sigh) i feel so lucky.

The Sea Change

back in December i met a talented crafter name Jennifer. (she was my booth neighbor at Rock n Shop.) i fell in love with her jewelry because she takes things that she finds at different places (like keys) and pairs them together to make one quirky piece. here's a piece i got...


it's a "Good for one night" token from Railhead Saloon in Tombstone Arizona Territory.

"Good for one dollar in trade, girls, whiskey, tobacco"

i tried to look up some info on the piece, but all i found was a Craigslist listing stating that this token goes for $690...i checked on other sites and it wasn't nearly as much, so i'm not sure what's going on here.

anywho, i just checked out her etsy shop yesterday and couldn't help but fall in love with her new line of jewelry. visit The Sea Change here!
